This sounds/looks like an amazing piece of engineering! If you are interested, contact me (info@wncfhg.org) and I will pass on your information.

    "Dear WNC Fibers/Handweavers Guild,

I have a Thought Products 'Barbara V' Loom for sale which I thought one of your members might be interested in purchasing.  It operates in 5 modes: Tapestry, Two-Harness Tapestry, Free-Form Harness, Rising Shed (Jack), Sinking Shed (Counter-Balance) and Rising/Sinking Shed (Countermarche).  It's a rare loom made of solid cherry wood that was only produced for about 10 years by an engineer in Somerset, PA (presumably made sometime between the 1960's to 80's).  I don't know much more about its history.  It comes with12 harnesses and accompanying metal heddles.  I have all the parts and the manual to accompany it.  Its dimensions are 80" high x 82" wide x 56" deep.  Attached is a photo of the loom.  It also comes with a two-seater teaching bench, also made of solid cherry wood.

I'm asking $3800 for it.  I live in the Asheville area and the loom will need to be picked up.  It's essential that the buyer be present to take it apart, so they can see how to put it back together again.

Thanks for passing this onto your members.

    Kind regards, Marjorie Knowles
