Blue Ridge Fiber Show Replaced in 2022 by Guild Show
With the continuation of the pandemic and the loss of the Arboretum as a gallery, the WNCFHG will once again mount a show of its members' work. The show will be held at the Folk Arts Center on the Blue Ridge Parkway and will run from January 22 to May 15, 2022.
The Folk Art Center Show will be a celebration of the WNC Fibers/Handweavers Guild, its members and history with modern examples of traditional fiber crafts and written interpretations. We will tell our story using words, images and our craft.
Guild members may submit a piece of work to be considered for the show, by filling out the form linked here. Send photographs to brfs@wncfhg.org. The pieces do not have to be “just completed” but should be clean and show no signs of wear. If you would like to offer your piece for sale, please include a price. All pieces must remain in the show for its duration. Items that sell will be available after the show closes in May.
All fiber arts practiced by our members may be submitted. Design does not have to be original but your work should be quality. If you are considering selling your work, please follow proper procedures for copyrighted designs.
This is a wonderful opportunity to show a wider audience the beautiful things we make and perhaps inspire them to learn one of our craft!
