The Haywood County Fair is coming up and we are looking for community partners to help us with our annual 4th Grade Day at the Fair event. Last year 450 Haywood County 4th-grade students experienced the fair and learned about the vast agriculture industry through this awesome field trip. This year's event will be from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 28th at the Smoky Mountain Event Center in Clyde.
We are able to offer this event FREE of charge to our schools while having some really cool stuff featured because of different agencies hosting stations for our classes. Our stations this year will be 15 minutes long and feature one class of students per session (22 total sessions). We're asking hosts to bring something really cool or talk about something for 10-15 minutes per class. Teachers will be with the students and handle all discipline issues.
You can also bring swag items; we just ask that you have us pick those up before the day of the event. We create swag bags for each student that are given to the teachers as they leave so students receive their bags when they get back to school (mitigates the mess and craziness of little lost items all over the event space). We ask that if you want to provide swag items or informational materials provide 500 items/copies.
Lunch is provided for all station hosts and you will have scheduled breaks without classes to eat, use the restroom, etc.
Please let me know if you have any questions or are interested in participating in this year's 4th Grade Day at the Haywood County Fair!
Thanks,
