Every Autumn we bring locally grown pumpkins, apples and more to celebrate the season- mid September through mid-November.
We'll have farmers pressing cider fresh each week, and on the weekends Project HNG our sister nonprofit bring out Pony Rides & Hayrides for the kids- it's a glorious time on the farm! We're reaching out to local groups that have an emphasis on WNC craft & handiwork, storytelling and animal/nature lovers to see if they want to showcase their group and what they do for the visitors this fall. Our motto is Building Community through Agriculture: this fall we want our customers and visitors to connect with community and our region's artists and naturalists.
Would WNCFG be interested in doing a spinning/weaving/both demo a couple times this season, once in Sept and once in October? We're hosting group demos(only one group at a time) on Saturdays and Sundays between 12pm-2pm in the Big Barn, we can loan tables, chairs & tablecloths if you've got wares to sell.
We could feed anyone who participated with a house hot dog or bratwurst, share your presence on all our social platforms, we could put up a QR poster about your organization encouraging donations to fund your programs and more. Let me know if you're interested or have questions!
